Miscreants loot Rs 2.48 lakh from a collection agent

Bike borne miscreants attacked a man on a bike with an iron rod and snatched Rs 2.48 lakh from him near the busy JLN road in the city, the police said.
Jitendra Singh, a contractual collection agent of Saras dairy, was on way to his office after collecting the amount from dairies in Jhalana area on his motorcycle when he was hit with an iron rod, according to the police.
Singh fell unconscious and the attackers fled after taking away the bag containing the collected amount, a police official said.
"The victim could not even see who had hit him," a police official said. Singh received injuries on the head and a fracture in his leg, the official added.
A case has been registered at the Gandhi Nagar police station here and efforts are on to identify the accused, the police said.
