The incident took place on Saturday night when some armed persons in an SUV stopped the mini truck on its way to Kasganj from Firozabad, they said, adding that they held truck driver Sonu hostage at gunpoint.
The robbers tied Sonu's hands before dropping him near Kapareta village yesterday morning, they said.
Based on Sonu's complaint, an FIR has been registered in Kotwali Dehat police station, police said, adding, efforts are on to nab the accused and recover the stolen truck and the iron rods.
