Missile scientists take part in Swachhata hi Seva programme

Scientists and staff members of Interim Test Range (ITR), Chandipur today picked up brooms in their hands and cleaned roads at the Police Line Square area here under 'Swachhata hi Seva' programme.
The scientists took up the "Clean Balasore" drive under 'Swachhata hi Seva' programme. Four teams of scientists, officers, staff and support staff cleaned the roads.
ITR Ladies club also participated in the exercise. During the early morning hour, the clean campaign was conducted, which has developed awareness among the citizens of this coastal town.
Senior scientists including Director, ITR, were found cleaning the road.
The cleanliness awareness programme was arranged in various schools also. Senior scientists addressed school children regarding swachhata awareness. Two schools were also cleaned by ITR.
A Marathon race has been planned tomorrow morning at 6 AM at ITR colony. It will travel via ITI square up to Fakir Mohan Golai. A street play has also been planned by ITR team to develop awareness of Swachhata. This is the first time such initiative has been taken up.
