Missing for a year, boy rescued from Jammu

A 14-year-old boy, who went missing an year ago from his home in Shahbad Dairy in outer Delhi, was found in Jammu, police said today.
A case was registered in connection with the disappearance of the boy after a complaint by his father at Shahabad Dairy police station on August 28, 2015. The boy was rescued from Kajhali village by a team of Delhi Police's Crime Branch, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav said.
During investigation, it was found out that the boy's family had received a missed call from a mobile number of Jammu and Kashmir circle in August this year.
Following the clue, police gathered the subscriber's location and other relevant coordinates, he said.
It was learnt that the boy was seen on September 8 in Kajhali where he was living with the family of one Kailash, Yadav said.
Kailash had found the boy roaming around in the area and had taken him to his house. No maltreatment was reported by the boy. The minor told police that he left from home to visit Vaishno Devi in Jammu without telling his parents and did not return fearing that he will be scolded, the official said.
A statement of the boy was recorded under section 164 of CrPC and he was handed over to his parents, Yadav said.
