An MBBS student, who was missing from his college hostel since the last eight days, was today found at an ashram in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, police said.

Police said that Devkishan Katadiya, a gynaecology student of the GMRES College here, was found at an ashram in MP's Khandwa district in the early hours of today.

"After Katadiya spoke to his brother on phone late last night and informed about his well-being, a police team rushed to the location and brought Katadiya back here," said Gautam Parmar, deputy commissioner of police.

Officials said that Katadiya had gone missing after failing two exams and he had left a note blaming college professors for the poor results.

After returning to the city and talking to mediapersons, a dhoti-clad Katadiya, carrying a holy book, stuck to his charges against his college professors.

Police said investigations into the case would continue.
