Rehmani's husband Danish Chauhan had lodged a missing persons report on May 27, in which he had accused Welson and his kin of abducting Rehmani and their children, he said.
However, the woman's father, Lihajur R Khan, had filed a complaint against Chauhan accusing him and his family of harassing and murdering Rehmani for dowry, they said.
An Army spokesperson said Rehmani had gone on leave from May 27 and was expected to re-join duty on July 12. When she failed to join on the mentioned date, Army informed police, he said.
