Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi tweeted a video of an old woman dancing, thinking her to be the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but realised later that it was a case of mistaken identity.
Bedi posted, two days back, the 50-second video clip in which an oldwoman in white sari is seen dancing to a popularsong.
Along with the video, she wrote, "spirit of Deepavali at the tender age of 97. She is Mother of @narendramodi (Hiraben Modi 1920) celebrating Diwali at her ownhome @Sadhguru JV".
Bedi had taggedin her tweetthe Prime Minister and spiritual master and founder of Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.
The former IPS officer, however, realised her mistake the same day. "I am informed it is mistaken identity @Sadhguru JV. But salute to the mother with so much vigour. I hope I can be like her if/when I am 96," she tweeted to make the correction.
At a press conference here today, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy was asked to comment on this but he merely smiled and walked away.
