"The Central government on one hand, is hailing this scheme but on the other is conspiring to scrap it and Congressmen have to expose this," AICC general secretary and in-charge of party affairs in the state Madhusudan Mistry said.
"It is the duty of Congressmen to monitor the scheme which was launched by the previous UPA government...They should move out in their districts, blocks, villages and struggle to ensure that labourers get work and their wages", he said.
On the Central government celebrating completion of 10 years of MGNREGA, Mistry said it was an eyewash and alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed his colours at every given opportunity.
