Following allegations of misuse of Home Guards as orderlies by the Ranga Reddy District Superintendent of Police B Naveen Kumar, an inquiry has been ordered.
Telangana's in-charge DGP Anjani Kumar told PTI tonight that he had asked the Deputy Inspector General (Hyderabad Range) Akun Sabharwal to conduct a detailed inquiry and submit a report immediately.
"Based on the report of the DIG necessary action will be taken," the DGP said.
Photographs purportedly showing Home Guards doing menial jobs like cleaning utensils, giving fodder to cattle, etc., at the DSP's house had been carried by some newspapers and newschnnels.
Naveen Kumar has denied allegations.
