Globally, industrial metal copper held near six-year lows around USD 5,000 a tonne in early trade today amid concerns that China's equity market rout could signal more deeply rooted problems in its economy.
Tin gained Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,165 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,155.
Copper sheet cuttings and brass utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 385 and Rs 296 as compared to Rs 383 and Rs 294 yesterday and zinc and lead inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 159 and Rs 127, respectively.
Brass sheet cuttings and copper utensils scrap eased by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 300 and Rs 365 as compared to Rs 302 and Rs 367 previously and copper armiture softened by a Re per kg to Rs 389.
