However, non-edible oils held steady on negligible enquiries from consuming industries.
Traders said mild buying support from retailers helped sesame and cottonseed oils prices to trade higher.
They said however, weak global trend kept pressure on palmolein oil prices.
Meanwhile, palm oil slumped 1.8 per cent to USD 624 a tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
In the national capital, sesame mill delivery and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils rose by Rs 100 and Rs 50 to Rs 8,200 and Rs 6,100 per quintal respectively.
