Mixed trend prevails in the foodgrain market

The prices of thoor dal, urad dal moong dal and wheat declined while sooji moved up in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.
Urad dal and Moong dal went down by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 7,200 and Rs 9,600 from its previous closing rates of Rs.7,400 and Rs.9,800 respectively.
Likewise,thoor dal and wheat moved down by Rs.100 per quintal each to Rs.7,000 and Rs.2,400 from Rs.7,100 and Rs.2,500 respectively.
In contrast, sooji (90 kg) rose by Rs.50 to Rs.2,600 from Rs.2,550.
However, Gram dal (Rs.3,900), Sugar (Rs.3,000) and Maida (90 kg)(Rs.2,400) ruled steady in the market.
Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities today (in rupees per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,000 Urad Dal Rs 7,200 Moong Dal Rs 9,600 Gram Dal Rs 3,900 Sugar Rs 3,000 Wheat Rs 2,400 Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,600.
