Mixed trend prevails in wholesale market

Prices of Maida and sooji increased, while moong dal, gram dal and sugar declined, as all other commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.
Sooji (90 kg) rose by Rs 100 to Rs 2,600 from its closing rate of Rs 2,500.
Maida (90 kg) increased by Rs 50 to Rs 2,450 from its previous rate of Rs 2,400.
Moong dal fell sharply by Rs 400 per quintal to Rs 9,500 from its last rate of Rs 9,900.
Gram dal and sugar decreased by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 3,850 and Rs 3,250 from its last rates of Rs 3,900 and Rs 3,300 respectively.
Tur dal, urad dal and wheat prices ruled steady.
Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities today (in rupees per quintal, except stated otherwise): Tur Dal Rs 7,300, urad Dal Rs 7,400, moong Dal Rs 9,500, gram Dal Rs 3,850, sugar Rs 3,250, wheat Rs 2,400, maida (90 kg) Rs 2,450 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,600.
