Though there have been no loss of lives, at least three people have been injured while their houses were destroyed by the squall which hit the state since April 7, they said.
At least 350 private houses and some government buildings were destroyed in Mizoram-Bangladesh-Tripura border Mamit district alone during the past 48 hours in the squall and hailstorm, a senior district official said.
The official said that hailstorm rendered 33 families homeless as their tinned roofs were damaged by egg-sized hails.
Two church buildings one in Mamit and another in Sihthiang village were completely blown away.

Power supply largely disrupted as almost all the transmission lines were damaged and electric poles uprooted in Mamit town.
The state officials said in West Phaileng at least 170 houses were destroyed of which 40 houses were completely damaged.
Many houses were also damaged in Khawhnai, Ailawng, Dapchhuah and West Serzawl villages.
Three members of a family were injured when a building housing three families was swept in strong gale at Serkhan village in Mizoram-Assam border Kolasib district on April seven, the state officials said.
At least 12 houses were damaged at Tualbung village in Aizawl district by the squall which uprooted several trees and electric posts since April 7.
