Addressing the party workers at the weekly weekend meeting at the Congress Bhavan here, Lal Thanhawla said if people in Assam and West Bengal could elect the same parties for three terms, it could be possible in Mizoram.
Urging the party workers to begin the hard work for the coming Assembly polls in 2018, he said the maximum utilisation of information technology (IT) could help the party to retain power for the third consecutive term.
Earlier in December 2013, on the day he was sworn-in for the second consecutive term, Lal Thanhawla had made a statement saying he would not contest in 2018 Assembly polls.
