Mizoram CM meets Sonia

Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla today met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and discussed the current financial crisis of the state and the upcoming state assembly polls.
The Chief Minister met Gandhi in Parliament House and discussed about the state plan outlay for 2013-14, financial crisis of the state government and about the state assembly elections, which will be held by the end of the year, an official statement said.
The statement, however, did not give details about the meeting and what the UPA Chairperson conveyed to the Chief Minister.
Thanhawla and Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia would be meeting tomorrow to fix the state plan outlay for the current fiscal year, it said.
The statement added that the Chief Minister also met DoNER Minister Paban Singh Ghatowar and informed the latter about the priority lists of the state government.
