While making an obituary reference on the demise of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in the state Assembly, Thanhawla said when Sayeed was Union Home Minister he had consulted him on the appointment of Mizoram governor.
"Our opinions might not be accepted, but the Centre, in those days had consulted or informed the state chief ministers on removal or appointment of governors," he said.
He said the NDA government now had shown high-handed approach in removing or appointing state governors resulting in Mizoram having the highest number of governors in a year.
