Mizoram health dept sends Maggi samples to Assam lab

Mizoram Health department today said that it approached the Assam Public Health Laboratory for testing Maggi noodle samples from Mizoram, an official statement said.
"The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) had instructed Nestle company on Friday last to stop manufacturing of Maggi instant noodles and recall all the stocks," the statement said.
Accordingly the state food safety officials approached the said laboratory and is also keeping a close tab on how the noodles company was recalling its products from Mizoram.
The FSSAI had already asked all the state governments to test samples of Maggi in their respective states and send the results to the former.
