"BJP is pushing Goa towards Greece-like financial situation. The mounting debts coupled with the free-handed spending by the government is worsening the financial situation of the state," said Sawal, who represents Bicholim constituency, while speaking to the reporters.
The debt burden of the coastal state was in the range of Rs 18,000-20,000 crore, he said.
"While the loan liabilities are increasing, the members of the BJP-led government are busy enjoying at the cost of exchequer....What Goa is doing now is the same thing Greece did and faced the consequences," he said.
