Puthiya Tamilagam MLA of Oddapidaram constituency K Krishnaswamy today sought to impleaded himself in a petition filed in the Madras High Court bench here seeking to direct the police to register an FIR against him for allegedly submitting forged documents when he filed nomination papers.
K Rajkumar, who had contested the last assembly election from the constituency, said in his petition that Krishnaswamy had forged his community certificate claiming to be from Deiventhirakulam community to contest in the reserved constituency.
However, Krishnaswamy's mother belonged to Arunthathiyar Community while his father belonged to Kondareddy community, Rajkumar claimed.
Krishnaswamy in his impleading petition, said his parents belonged to Deiventhirakulam community and denied submitting forged documents. He contended his documents were scrutinised by the officials and were accepted only after an inquiry.
