While Sudhir Tambe is the party's nominee from the Nashik Graduates constituency, Sanjay Khodake has been nominated from the Amravati Graduates constituency, the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) said in a statement.
The tenure of the sitting members will be over on December 5. A total of 11 seats from Teachers, Graduates and Local Authorities constituencies are up for grabs.
Khodake will take on BJP MLC Ranjit Patil, who has been renominated by his party last month. Patil had been appointed as Minister of State for Home (Urban), Urban Development, General Administration, Law and Judiciary and Parliamentary Affairs.
Currently, Nagpur University Teachers' Association leader B T Deshmukh represents the Amravati graduates constituency.
Tambe, who has been re-nominated by Congress, is a relative of former state Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat.
BJP has nominated Prashant Patil, a relative of Union MoS Subhash Bhamre for Nashik Graduates Constituency.
