MMRC appoints architects for Kalbadevi-Girgaum rehab scheme
Press Trust of India Mumbai The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) today said it has appointed architects GD Sambhare & RH Mahimatura to provide architectural, design and project management consultancy services for the Kalbadevi-Girgaum in-situ rehabilitation scheme.
The tender for appointment of the architect was invited in June 2017.
The scope of the contract includes planning and architectural designs, structural design, construction supervision and management of buildings to be redeveloped, MMRC said in a statement here.
The MMRC said part of the land of impacted buildings in Kalbadevi-Girgaum would be utilised by it for construction of underground metro stations, ancillary works, ventilation shafts, entry/exit structures and other related activities.
"The redevelopment of properties will be undertaken simultaneously in the remaining lands and after completion will be allotted to the project-affected families by 2021," it said.
