Built over 50 acres land donated by the Kathwalia Math on Chakia-Kesharia road, Kunal said that the temple would not be the exact replica of the Angkor Wat temple with the shikhar (peak) and architectural designs being few of the common features of the two religious structures.
The five-storied temple will be 1,240 feet long, 1,150 feet wide and 270 feet tall and will house the idols of Radha and Krishna, Shiva and Parvati, Ganesh, Surya, Vishnu and Dashavataram.
The construction cost of the temple would be about about Rs 300 crore, he said.
