MMTC-PAMP adjudged as 'best refinery' at bullion summit

MMTC-PAMP India Pvt Ltd, India's first and only internationally accredited gold and silver refinery was adjudged 'Best Refinery" for the second consecutive year at the 2nd India International Bullion Summit held in Mumbai.
The award is in recognition of MMTC-PAMP India Pvt Ltd establishing quality standards for domestically refined bullion, as per a company statement issued here today.
"We are honoured to receive this award for the second consecutive year. This award is a testimony to our work in establishing and adhering to world class standards in product excellence, customer service, environmental management and safety," MMTC-PAMP Managing Director Rajesh Khosla said.
MMTC-PAMP India is a joint venture between PAMP SA, Switzerland and MMTC Ltd, a public sector undertaking. The JV operates a precious metals refinery and mint in Mewat district of Haryana under the direct technical supervision of PAMP.
With an annual refining capacity of 150 tonne of gold, 600 tonnes of silver and minting 2.75 million pieces, India is now home to the world's most modern precious metals refining as well as manufacturing plant, equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
MMTC-PAMP India produces a wide range of products that are on par with any foreign manufacturer.
India International Bullion Summit, was organised to commemorate 66th Foundation Day of India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd (IBJA), an apex body of bullion and jewellery associations in the country.
The event saw 2,000 delegates from India and countries like Hong Kong, UAE, the UK and Turkey deliberating on important and relevant topics such as FDI investment in bullion and jewellery industry, changes needed in gold policy, among others.
