A criminal offence has been registered against around 25 people, including a local MNS leader, for allegedly ransacking the office of a water amusement park here and assaulting its manager, police said Monday.
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Thane region chief Avinash Jadhav was among the 25 people, including women, booked Sunday for the November 30 incident in Kasarwadavali here, they said.
The incident was triggered by sacking of some employees of the amusement park, the police said.
According to a complaint filed by the amusement park's security supervisor, an irate group, led by Jadhav, barged into the manager's cabin and vandalised it.
Jadhav then allegedly slapped the manager and sought to know the reason for the employees' sacking, the police said, citing the complaint.
The violent group included some of the sacked employees, they said, adding members of the crowd also allegedly abused the manager.
