"From Monday, 50 MNS activists will keep tabs on every toll 'naka'. We will not tolerate the public loot carried out by the toll contractors with help of the government," Raj told reporters here.

The activists, during the next 15 days, will collect information about how many vehicles pass through, he said, adding the information will then be shared with the government and people.

Raj's remarks came after the NCP, flaying MNS for resorting to violence against toll collection, said toll collection was a legacy of the Shiv Sena-BJP government (when Raj was a part of Shiv Sena).

The collection posts lacked transparency and citizens were made to pay the toll despite the contractors having recovered the money spent on the concerned infrastructure projects, Raj said.
