According to VRAS officials the symbolic two-day session will be held on October 3 and 4 ahead of the winter session of the state Legislature scheduled on December 5.
The mock session is expected to bring a resolution to oppose the Maharashtra Legislature, they said.
The samiti plans to take out a big morcha to Vidhan Bhavan and hold a massive sit-in agitation during the winter session of Maharashtra Legislature held every year in Nagpur.
VRAS convener Ram Neole yesterday said a development model of the region will be presented during the proposed mock session. Besides, the financial viability of the new state would also be discussed during the event.
The VRAS members will discuss strategy to promote industrialisation and generate employment opportunities in Vidarbha, tackle farmers' suicide and malnourishment and to curb the Maoist menace in the region.
Besides, they would also discuss how load-shedding and power tariff can be minimised.
