The traffic constable Satish Mhatre has also filed a complaint against Vaid for allegedly obstructing a government servant from performing his duties.
The complaints were a fallout of the incident that took place at 11.30 pm yesterday when Vaid was driving his car on Tenth Road in suburban Juhu.
According to Vaid, the traffic constable stopped his vehicle and asked him to blow in a breathalyser to check whether he was drunk. However, he declined to do so stating that the equipment was unhygienic.
The model, who had won the 'Mr India' modelling pageant in 2000, also captured his altercation with the constable on his mobile camera.

"Despite my repeated requests, the constable was very adamant and finally I went to Juhu police station where I blew in a fresh breath analyser...Since I was not drunk, my result was negative. But the issue is that the breath analyser was unhygienic and infected with other peoples' blows," he said.
When contacted, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Milind Bharambe said that a cross-complaint has been filed by the traffic constable as the actor "abused" him.
"Firstly, our breathalysers are very much hygienic and if the actor had issues with it, he could have called some senior officers rather than arguing with a policeman on duty and abusing him. Secondly, if he was not drunk, I don't understand why he created a such a hue and cry," Bharambe said.
