The quake, which was not an aftershock of the devastating earthquake of April 25 but a fresh temblor, jolted Bajura district at 4 am today, according to National Seismological Centre.
It was centred at Jagannath area of Bajura district, 700 km west of Kathmandu and tremors were felt in several districts of the mid and far west.
However, no casualties have been reported so far from the area which is remote and rural.
Nepal is still facing aftershocks of the April's powerful earthquake. So far more than 418 numbers of aftershocks with 4 or more magnitude after the Gorkha earthquake that killed nearly 9,000 people.
