Moderate Hurriyat chairman invited OIC meet

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has invited moderate Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq to attend the Foreign Ministers' meeting of the group in Saudi Arabia from June 16 to June 18.
"The Mirwaiz has been invited by the OIC Secretary General to attend the 41st Foreign Ministers' meeting in Saudi Arabia from June 16-18," a spokesman of the Hurriyat said in a statement.
The OIC is an international organisation of 57 Muslim states. It has been inviting the Hurriyat Conference leaders to its meetings over the past many years and has accorded the separatist amalgam the status of an observer.
