The quake, measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale, struck the Bhaderwah belt of the district at 10:28 AM, MeT officials said.
"As of now, there is no immediate report of any casualty or damage to the property," Sub Divisional Magistrate Mohammed Anwar Banday said.
Panic-stricken people rushed out of their homes when the quake, whose epicentre was 7km south-east of Bhaderwah, rattled the town.
