A moderate quake measuring 5.5 magnitude on the Richter scale today hit Nepal, according to the country's National Seismological Center.
The tremor hit Xizang-Nepal border at 10:05 pm. The epicentre was between Ichok, Ghyangphedi and Helambu villages in Sindhupalchok, 54 northeast of Kathmandu. The local magnitude was 5.5, Himalayan Times reported.
Nepal is still facing aftershocks of the April's powerful earthquake. So far more than 418 numbers of aftershocks with 4 or more magnitude after the Gorkha earthquake that killed nearly 9,000 people.
