Other places in North Bengal received little or no rainfall, the MeT department said.
In Gangetic West Bengal, Bankura received 49.3 mm rainfall in 24 hours since yesterday morning.
Kolkata received 9.4 mm rainfall, as the day's highest temperature was recorded at 31.9 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman has forecast generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain in the state for tomorrow, except in Bankura, which is likely to receive heavy rainfall.
