Parts of Rajasthan recorded moderate rainfall in the past 24 hours, the meteorological department said on Wednesday.
In Jhalawar district, Pachpahar and Aklera recorded 40 mm of rain each, followed by Asnawar and Dug (30 mm each), a Met official said.
Various parts of the state received a rainfall of around 20 mm during the period. Kota and Ramganj Mandi recorded 8 mm and 30 mm of rain, respectively, the spokesperson said.
The highest maximum temperature in the state was 40.6 degrees Celsius in Bikaner, followed by 38.5 degrees in Jaisalmer, 37.1 degrees in Sri Ganganagar, 36.5 degrees in Churu, 35.9 degrees in Barmer and 33.2 degrees in Jaipur.
The weather department has forecast thunderstorm with light to moderate rainfall at many places in east Rajasthan and in few areas of the western region.
