The chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms was Maharajganj 15, Bansi, Pherenda, Regoli 12 each, Gorakhpur, Hata, Kakrahi 11 each, Birdghat 10, Basti, Bansgoan, Domariaganj 9 each, Utraulla, Ayodhya, Chandradeepghat, Sardanagar, Mehadawal 8 each, Chandauli, Mukhalispur, Katerniaghat 7 each and Jaunpur 6 each.
The day temperatures fell largely fell in Bareilly, Agra divisions, markedly in Faizabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Moradabad, Meerut divisions, appreciably in Gorakhpur, Jhansi divisions, fell in Allahabad division and change little in Varanasi division, they said.
Highest maximum temperature was 27.8 deg Celsius recorded at Churk and lowest minimum temperature was 14.3 Celsius recorded at Fatehgarh.
The weather would be dry over tomorrow and subsequent days, the MeT department predicted.
