Modi also dragged the name of Omar's sister Sara into the gender bias row to suggest they do not enjoy the same rights.
"Sara should get the same rights enjoyed by Omar Abdullah in the state," he said. Sara is married to Union Minister Sachin Pilot who hails from Rajasthan.
Modi cited the example of Omar and his sister Sara's marriage outside the state to suggest that women did not have the same rights as men in J-K unlike in other parts of the country.
Modi posed a question to the public whether there is discrimination against women in J and K for which the anwser came in loud voice "yes". Has Sara got rights? he further questions and people say "no".

Omar came out with a series of tweets after Modi raked up the issue of rights for women in the context of Article 370 of the Constitution that gave special status to J and K.
"And finally women do not lose their domicile right by marrying non-state subjects regardless of the propaganda surrounding this issue," he said.
He wondered if Modi was actually aware of the provisions of Article 370.
"I challenge him or any of his minions to reproduce verbatim the section of Art 370 that determines the J&K state subject law," Omar said.
The National Conference leader also said that Modi was either very badly informed or very economical with the truth.
