Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot today lashed out at the BJP government at the Centre for not delivering on its promises, dubbing its two years in power as a "failure".
"BJP's two year tenure has been a failure in every aspect. PM Modi has failed to deliver the promised reforms," he said on the Modi government's second anniversary.
Gehlot claimed the government did nothing to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks.
"Inflation is going high and the common man is bearing the burden. The government has also not shown courage to act against its corrupt leaders and CMs. The people who voted for the BJP are feeling cheated," he said.
"BJP is trying to showcase it as two year of successful governance when people feel the opposite. It is the limit of self-praise," he said in a tweet.
The former chief minister also censured the BJP for using public money in celebrations.
"This is not the first time, Rajasthan has also witnessed Raje government's extravagant anniversary celebrations twice," he said.
