Modi govt failed to meet expectations of people: Virbhadra
Press Trust of India Shimla Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said Narendra Modi government at the Centre has failed to meet expectations of the people during its 100 days at the helm of affairs.
"The people of the country feel disheartened by the 100 days rule of the BJP at the Centre... The common man is disillusioned with the Union government," the Chief Minister said.
He said the BJP created hype through social media but the expectations of the people were not met.
"I will not say that nothing has happened in 100 days as this is too short a period to assess the performance of any government, but I feel that the spadework has been done in many fields and the achievements in concrete form are likely to come," he said.
Referring to the announcement that the Prime Minister would interact with the school children on Teachers' day through his live address on TV, Singh said the topography of the state was such that it was a tough task to gather children from all areas, particularly from tribal, far-flung and rural areas, on a single platform at some selected venue.
