Yesterday, Kota-based BJP leader Pathan claimed to have ousted former IPL commissioner Modi along with secretary Tiwary and treasurer Pawan Goyal with the support of 23 out of 33 district units of RCA which deputy president Mehmood Abdi had termed "illegal".
"Today, RCA treasurer Sumendra Tiwari today filed a complaint with the Jyoti Nagar Police Station in Jaipur informing them about the attempt by Amin Pathan and his supporters, which also included some anti-social elements, trying to forcefully enter the RCA premises well after the sunset last night," Abdi told PTI today.
He also said Pathan has now been "suspended by the RCA" and the matter sent to the disciplinary committee of the state association.
"Pathan has been suspended from RCA by a resolution of the association's executive committee due to his misconduct, bringing disrepute to the association and creating ill-will and enmity among the members and also acting contrary to the provisions of the Rajasthan Sports Act. The matter has been referred to disciplinary committee of the RCA."
"While pleading at the Jyoti Nagar Police Station praying for support, Pathan did not present himself as the so-called acting president. Strangely, he told the cops that he is the vice-president of the association. But he was Vice-president of RCA till yesterday before his suspension.
"I find his stand quite amusing that he is claiming dual status as an acting president and at the same time telling the cops that he is the vice-president under Mr Lalit Modi. It shows his confused state of mind," Abdi said.
