Modi implemeted programmes to make a developed India: Gohain

The Narendra Modi-led central government has implemented several programmes for people and to make a 'developed India', Union Minister of state for Railways Rajen Gohain said here today.
For instance, Gohain said inaugurating the 'MODI Fest' here, the Prime Minister made the lives of women smoke- free by launching the Ujjwal Yojana and in the span of a few days more than two crore free LPG connections were distributed in the country.
"The Pradhanmantri Jan Dhan Yojana got enormous success and more than 28 crore accounts were opened which result in subsidies going directly to the beneficiaries' accounts bypassing the clutches of middlemen and plugging leakages in the system," he said.
The Union Minister also released the leaflet on Modi government's Exemplary Three Years.
The Prime Minster took a historical move to end black money, corruption and terrorism by demonetizing the old Rs 500 and 1,000 notes which had benefitted the common man, BJP MLA of Guwahati (East) constituency Siddhartha Bhattacharya said.
The three-day MODI fest has been organised to communicate to the people the achievements of the BJP government on its completion of three years in office.
