"There is neither a wave, nor any effect. It is only poison, which is sought to be spread (Na lahar hai, Na asar hai, Ye sirf jahar hai...)," party spokesperson Meem Afzal said when asked about ally NC leader Omar Abdullah's remarks that there is effect of Modi though not any wave.
He also took potshots at Modi over BJP seeking Prime Minister like security for him and said, "Now he wants to look like the Prime Minister without becoming one. Hence this demand for PM like security."
"Did BJP or that leader of BJP utter a single word about the security of people, who attended his meetings," he asked.
To a question about Congress spokesperson Raj Babbar reportedly comparing Modi with 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab on the security front, Afzal said, "I have talked to Raj Babbar today. He said that he did not make any comparison of Modi with Kasab but had only given an example."
Afzal also referred to the controversial "puppy" remark of Modi in an interview earlier to justify Babbar's remarks.
