This is for the first time that seven countries have tied up with the state for the event but the number may increase. In 2003, only Japan and Canada had partnered the countries, said K T Vyas, Officer on Special Duty Industrial Extension Bureau, which is looking after organising the event.
Elaborating on the role of the partner-countries, Vyas said they will have a delegation led by a minister or of that rank.
"The countries will also be given space for exhibition wherein there would be opportunities for joint venture and attract investments in their countries as well," Vyas added.
Finance and Industries Minister Saurabh Patel said that when the initiative started in 2003, there was no partner country but the figure has increased to seven.
