The All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) also demanded the state government to offer Rs one crore compensation to the kin of the deceased and proper medical treatment to the girl's mother who too was thrown off the bus during the three-day-old incident and sustained injuries.
The AIDWA, after its representatives met relatives of the girl, also stressed on framing norms to ensure safety of women aboard vehicles owned by private operators.
Earlier, Sangwan also addressed people who staged dharna outside the hospital where the mother of the girl is recuperating.
"The body of the 13-year-old has not been taken for cremation by the protesting family. Her mother told that there was no CCTV camera in the bus, there were curtains all around and both the conductor and driver spoke utterly filthy language," Sangwan added.
The incident occurred near Gill village on Moga-Kotkapura road, about 10 km from Moga district headquarters, and four persons including the driver, cleaner and conductor of the bus have been arrested.
