'India singing', a mixture of music, action and dance by superstar Mohanlal's Lalisom troupe and 'War Cry', a special theme play, will be the main attractions of the 35th National Games' opening ceremony here tomorrow.
The line-up will include 101 percussion artists, led by legendary 'chenda' maestro Mattannur Shankaran Kutty, State Sports Minister Thiruvanchroor Radhakrishnan told reporters. He said that all arrangements are in place for the mega event, being held in Kerala after a 28-year gap.
"The theme of Lalisom will be a musical journey of Indian cinema and retrospect of masters of Indian cinema," Mohanlal, who was also present at the press conference, said.
Hariharan, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Karthik, M G Sreekumar and Sujatha are some of the prominent singers who would participate in the event, the actor said.
The 'War Cry' would be a visual treat and is a tribute to freedom fighters, Mohanlal said.
It would focus on war scenes based on the real life of Kunjali Marakkar from Kerala, the legendary maritime warrior who fought against the Portuguese.
