Mohanty takes over charge of Red Horns Division

Major General C P Mohanty took over charge of Army's Red Horns Division from Major General A K Bhatt, a defence spokesman said today.
Mohanty, on assuming charge, expressed happiness at having received an opportunity to serve in the North East and assured that Red Horns Division would continue to stand by the people of Assam.
The General has a varied combat experience and in command and staff appointments including the command of his battalion in counter terrorist operations.
Bhatt relinquished command of the prestigious Red Horns Division yesterday after serving 12 months as the General Officer Commanding of the Red Horns Division.
