The footage of the incident, which occurred yesterday, was captured by a CCTV camera installed in her cabin.
Police said Ramakrishnappa went to the school at around 2.00 PM yesterday when most children and teachers had left, to demand money from Headmistress Asha, who also runs the institution.
One or two children were in the room next to that of the headmistress, they said.
The video shows Ramakrishnappa purportedly arguing with the headmistress, suddenly beating her, pulling out a rope from his pocket and charging at her.
Ramkakrishnappa kept calling her continuously for the last two weeks, demanding repayment and using foul language, she said.
"Yesterday afternoon he came to the schooldemanding money and started beating me.He then pulled outa rope used to tie animals from his pocket and charged at me, despite my pleading for mercy," she said.
Asha said he even took her cellphone and did not allow her to go out.
