Monitor private nursing homes, J&K panel tells Health dept

A state assembly panel today directed the health department to ensure proper monitoring of facilities of private nursing homes and hospitals in the state.
The panel, which met under the Chairmanship of MLA Advocate Abdul Haq, directed Health and Medical Education department to strengthen their respective monitoring cells and ensure proper checking of facilities and other codal formalities meant for running the private nursing homes, hospitals as well as government health institutions.
Discussion was also held on gazetted and non-gazetted recruitment rules, transfer policies besides the functioning of health and medical education department.
