The two museums, set up by US based Monsanto, have come up at Narha Panapur in the East Champaran district.
Spread over a combined area of eight acres the museums showcases a range of 10 dekalb maize hybrids. It has been established in partnership with the Cereal System Initiative for South Asia (CSISA).
Established in July this year, the museums seek to spread awareness on the necessity and benefits of diversifying from the traditional crop paddy, grown prominently in this part of Bihar, R K Malik, Hub Manager and team member of CSISA Executive Committee told reporters.
"Through this museum, we aim to demonstrate to our stakeholders (farmers) a great deal of options that they have to get more output from their farms, improved hybrid maize seeds, improved crop management practises and agronomic knowledge and result in enhanced yields and returns for hybrid maize cultivation," Amrendra Kumar, Technology Development Manager of Monsanto, said.
