Rajasthan, which was facing rainfall deficit of nearly 35 per cent till last month, is witnessing good rainfall for last few days as heavy to very heavy rains lashed South East part of the state.
Other parts of the state also witnessed moderate showers till this evening.
Light to moderate rain occurred at most of the places in Ajmer division, many places in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Udaipur, Jodhpur and a few places in Kota and Bikaner divisions since yesterday, according to Met department here.
Chittorgarh recorded 31 mm rains, followed by Kota 27.8 mm, Bikaner 27 mm while other places also recorded rainfall between 1 mm to 12.7 mm.
In Punjab, Chandigarh recorded a high of 34.3 deg C as the weather remained dry after witnessing rains for continuous two days.
Amritsar and Ludhiana recorded highs of 32.8 and 33.2 deg Cs respectively.

In Haryana, the maximum in Ambala and Hisar settled at 34.4 and 34 deg Cs respectively, the met office said.
Moderate to heavy rains also lashed various parts of Himachal Pradesh.
The state capital Shimla recorded 25 mm rains while Mashobra and Kufri had 24 mm of rains, followed by Kotkhai 22 mm, Kasauli 21 mm and Jubbarhatti Airport 20 mm.
The local MeT office has predicted rains or thunderstorm at many places during the next 72 hours and heavy rains at isolated places in lower and mid hills.
Parts of Jammu region were also lashed by rains this morning, however, people celebrated the I-Day function in large numbers.
