Monsoon active in Rajasthan, Bundi records 11 cm rainfall

Amid southwest monsoon providing respite from sweltering weather in the state, rains occurred in most parts of Rajasthan in the last 24 hours with Bundi recording the maximum rainfall at 11 cm, a MeT report said.
With moisture accompanying the monsoon turf, heat wave conditions have been abated in northwestern regions of the state including Jodhpur, Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Bikaner where the mercury plummeted by one to four degree Celsius since yesterday, the report said.
Meanwhile, the state capital of Jaipur was lashed by moderate intermittent rainfall since morning, and about 7.6 mm rainfall was recorded.
Bikaner recorded 23 mm rainfall followed by Ajmer 2 mm since morning.
Whereas in last 24 hours after Bundi, Dug recorded a rainfall of 9 cm, Choth ka Barwada 8 mm, Pipalda, Hindoli, Talera 7 mm, Jaipur tehsil 5 mm, Rawatbhata 4 mm, and one to 3 cm at many places.
Rainfall trend would continue in next 24 hours in the state, a forecast said.
